In partnership with CultureWorks Greater Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Area Cooperative Alliance (PACA) will offer a workshop series aimed at developing leadership capacity and skills. This month, we'll focus on:
Self Awareness: Figuring out what kind of leader you are and want to be // Let’s face it, there isn’t one type of leadership style that works all of the time. Some of us are really comfortable with telling people what to do and motivating our teams. Others might be more comfortable letting our team make a decision and empowering them to get the job done. The reality, however, is that depending on what’s going on, we sometimes have to step out of our comfort zone to appropriately deal with a new challenge or opportunity.
What’s your default leadership style? What qualities do you think make a good leader? How can you better adapt to new opportunities and challenges by changing up how you lead?
WHAT WILL YOU GET OUT OF THIS WORKSHOP:
In this workshop, we’ll explore leadership through self-awareness by:
- Identifying our preferred leadership style(s)
- Exploring leadership qualities we think are effective
- Learning to value leadership qualities we are less familiar with
- Practicing how to adapt our leadership style to meet the needs of situations
IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR YOU?
This workshop will be for you if:
- You feel stuck-in-a-rut about your leadership performance
- You want to grow your leadership tool box to more effectively lead others through different situations
- You want to evaluate your leadership practices and how they measure up to the needs of your team or organization
- You are willing to practice using new tools in a group setting to become a better leader
Workshops are open to all, co-op lovers and artistic entrepreneurs, emerging to established leaders, and beyond. Please RSVP in advance as sessions are capped at 20 and tend to fill quickly.
Space is wheelchair accessible with a unisex, accessible bathroom. Please contact us via the email link below regarding additional accommodations - and we’ll do our best to assist.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The cost for these workshops will be on a sliding scale basis. We recognize that this kind of learning experience is often cost prohibitive for individuals, particularly leaders of color, low-income/low-asset individuals, and those from grassroots and small organizations.
Please find a cost that works for you. If you can afford to pay at the high end of the scale, please do! If you want to attend but can't pay, please contact us via the email link below - and we'll figure out accommodations.
All proceeds benefit PACA.
